Leah + Jeremy | Siesta Key Beach Engagement

When Leah & Jeremy told me they wanted to do a Siesta Key Beach Engagement session, I was pumped. These two are SO much fun to hang out with, and I knew we’d get those epic golden hour photos at the beach here.

I have already shared these two lovebird’s intimate wedding at Ybor City with you (here), but I had to circle back around and share their session because it’s a VIBE. Leah wore the prettiest boho little lace dress for the session, which went perfectly with the beachy waves she did for her hairstyle. I loved how simple and authentic this session was. We literally just got to meet up and play on the beach; I love being your third wheel! haha. Jeremy wore a dark button down and jeans, which was the perfect contrasting outfit. I always recommend men dress in neutrals for the engagement session, so they can coordinate with whatever the bride is wearing. And I loved how his dark shirt acted as an anchor in the photos, with all the light, beachy colors.

We started off away from the water, near the sailboats. These two are so obviously in love, I barely had to pose them. They just curled up together and laughed at their inside jokes, and danced around - it was PERFECTION. And Leah brought a wide brimmed hat to the session…that’s the kind of prop I can get behind! It adds some interest to the photos without being cheesy.

As the sun began to set, we moved their Siesta Key beach engagement session down to the water. As a Florida wedding photographer, I literally NEVER get tired of shooting sunset on the beach. Especially with two people as playful as Leah & Jeremy. Leah kicked off her boots, and they ran and splashed and laughed their butts off…and I just clicked clicked clicked away!! Ugh, the BEST evening. We shot all the way until sunset, with these two unafraid to get in the water for a few pictures. Plus the evening sun was SHOWING OFF with all the orange-y hues we all love so much. Yesss please.

I know I’ve raved about these two before at their wedding day, but it’s because they truly are amazing. It’s such an honor to document this time in their lives, and I’m excited to see what’s next! Thank you for choosing me as your Siesta Key photographer!
