Danielle + Matt | Garden of the Gods Elopement
Okay, but this intimate Garden of the Gods elopement is one you do NOT wanna miss. I’m still practically swooning over this day months later. Danielle + Matt opted out of a lot of wedding traditions and picked a weekday to hike up the mountains in Colorado and say “I Do” with their friends and family.
I am so, so honored they chose me to be their destination wedding photographer, and was more than happy to hop on the flight from Florida.
These two lovebirds kicked off the day getting ready separately with their friends and family. Danielle had a truly stunning silhouette bridal gown, with a cape. It looked perfect on her, and was just right for those epic mountaintop photos at her Garden of the Gods elopement. She paired the dress with simple white heels, and a pearl studded headband. Can we talk about how TIMELESS she looked? Gosh! She told me her style inspo was “bridal Morticia Addams” haha. I LOVED it. Matt went with an all black look with a white bowtie, for a twist on the traditional tux. Make sure you scroll to see their newlywed portraits after the ceremony. They killllled it.
After getting ready, the bride and groom met outside the house for a private first look together. Seeing Matt turn around and see his stunning bride!?! Man, that moment never gets old at weddings. We took a few portraits of the two of them (their last ones as FIANCE!), and then drove into the Garden of the Gods.
The ceremony was an intimate affair with just a few closest friends and family. It was so meaningful, and the emotion was palpable. These two are just super kind couple. They were both very present the whole day, and let their emotions out, which is always such a gift as a photographer. I mean it when I say I was honored to be there and capture their organic moments together. I loved seeing them just enjoy each other, and we had a BLAST hiking around the park!
If you are thinking about having a destination micro wedding, I highly recommend the Garden of the Gods for an elopement.
