Hanna + Ryan | La Casa Toscana in Fort Myers
From the moment we shot Hanna & Ryan’s engagement session back at Vizcaya Gardens, I knew their wedding would be one for the books! And man, I was NOT wrong. These two had the most epic day at La Casa Toscana in Fort Myers with alllll their loved ones around them. And now? They are expecting their first child (a boy!) and I am so excited for them!!
The day began with the bride and groom getting ready individually with their respective wedding parties. Hanna is a wedding makeup artist, so this is right in her wheelhouse, except she got to be IN the chair today! She wore a beautiful layered white dress to get ready before changing into her timeless wedding gown from White Magnolia Bridal.
They opted not to do a first look before the ceremony, and Ryan’s face when he saw his future wife walking down the aisle was absolutely priceless. As much as I LOVE first looks as a Florida wedding photographer, I also think it’s so special to see your spouse for the first time during the ceremony.
Hanna did opt to have a first look with her father, and that reaction was also priceless. There is something so emotional about a parent watching their child get married!! There were happy tears all day.
As a wedding makeup artist, Hanna had a very specific and beautiful vision for the day. We talked about it in their planning process, so seeing all the elements come to life was incredible. From the ballerinas before the ceremony, to the phone booth at the reception - this day was ALLLL about Hanna and Ryan. And it was SUCH a fun party!
After the newlyweds said “I Do”, I snuck them away for some we-just-got-married portraits around the venue.
La Casa Toscana is such a beautiful place for weddings if you want epic couples portraits. Endless places to shoot with stunning backdrops - every photographer’s dream.
After our pictures, the newlyweds entered the dance floor and got their reception started! Every decoration was beautifully planned, and the guests had the time of their lives, with the DJ livening up the dance floor all night long. Hanna changed into a fun flapper-style dress for dancing, and by the time they exited with their confetti-getaway, everyone had partied the whole evening away. I love a group that knows how to DANCE.
