Amy + Adam | Intimate Yacht Wedding in Florida
Okay I know I always say this: but I had SO MUCH FUN at Amy + Adam's intimate Yacht wedding! Everything was so relaxed, and the day really was a breeze (pun intended ;)
The weather was perfect, and we had the most incredible time just hanging out on the boat before and after their short ceremony. I’m a huge fan of the chill vibe they prioritized and their big day. You can tell these two just value good. quality. time.
We started off the day with a first look on the shoreline, with just the two of them. Adam’s face when he saw his bride… priceless. These two are the epitome of best friends in love. They read a private letter to each other and took a quiet moment to appreciate the day, before heading onto the boat to celebrate their intimate yacht wedding with family & friends.
Some of their family was meeting for the first time, so it was special to capture those moments for them. There was live music playing in the background, warm sun on our skin, a gentle breeze, and even dolphins swimming in the harbor! How many brides can say they have dolphins in their wedding portraits?!
After we got out to sea, Adam and Amy stood up and had a small ceremony to officially say “I Do” in front of their family. Everything felt like slow motion; just a beautiful time capsule out on the ocean while these two made their love official.
It was so cool to witness this moment, and see their love story reach this moment. Amy said they started dating in 2014 after senior year of high school had ended. And then they did 3 years long distance during collage. Together they now have 3 dogs, which is fitting since they both work at a veterinary hospital and Adam works at an animal shelter too. They love their furry animals!
Amy told me Adam proposed at Lake Georgetown, CO because she requested the proposal be near water or mountains. So he chose both! (Good man :)
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed the live music and good food. The newlyweds cut a little cake and relaxed with their people. We got the prettiest sunset photos on the water. By the end of the night, the breeze was cool and Amy ended up with Adam’s jacket.
This whole intimate yacht wedding was truly a wonderful experience, and I can't believe I get to do this for a living. Thank you for choosing me to be your Florida wedding photographer!! Forever grateful!
