Courtney + Brennan | Montana Wedding at Copper Rose Ranch

Courtney + Brennen are a Nebraska-based couple who just knew they needed to have a Montana wedding at Copper Rose Ranch. And I couldn’t say YES fast enough, when they asked me to be their Destination wedding photographer.

How’d we meet? I’m glad you asked because I LOVE when connections pan out this way! I was the wedding photographer for Courtney’s sister last year! And after spending the day together at her sister’s wedding, Courtney reached out to ask me to photograph her own in Livingston, Montana. Spending two wedding days with this family was a DREAM. They are the sweetest people, and I wish they had more sisters so I could see them at more weddings 😂

This gorgeous day was one for the books! Courtney and Brennen got ready separately with their friends and fam. The bride wore a tiered white dress with ruffles, and it was the PERFECT vibe for their day. The accent colors were muted orange and rust, with peach accents. It perfectly complimented the rustic landscape. I was obsessed.

Their ceremony was outdoors, with the mountain backdrop framing them. This is one of the many reasons I could shoot in Montana forever. Scroll down to see how stunning it was at Copper Rose Ranch. They said “I do” under a large square arch, surrounded by flowers. Their loved ones sat on large wooden pews, and there were a lot of happy tears!

Courtney + Brennen met in 1st grade (how many couples can say that!?) - and they went to elementary school together. They reconnected in college when Courtney messaged Brennen, asking if they could get their dogs together for a date. Apparently, their dogs really got along, and they ALL started dating ;) After a few years, Brennan proposed to Courtney on a beach in Maui. Talk about romantic. (They actually got their wedding bands designed there too, and Brennan has the Hawaiian vine engraved on his to remember the moment!)

So when all their friends and family got to see these two finally become husband and wife… there was SO much love and excitement in the air. It was such an honor to be there and capture everything!

After they were OFFICIALLY newlyweds (!!!) we sent their guests to a cocktail hour while we took photos in the fields surrounding Copper Rose Ranch. I think “frolicking” is the best term for these photos. We had SO much fun! Brennen brought his cowboy hat, and we took photos all over the property and held space for all the JOY they were feeling together. Couples portraits after the ceremony has to be one of my favorite parts of any wedding day.

Their reception was ridiculously fun (are you surprised!??) They danced the night away with their loved ones and had a beautiful white cake with complementing flowers. The long tables were set up farmhouse style, with little vintage-inspired wine cups for their guests. They even incorporated their pups into the party favors, because this day would not be complete without a nod to the two “matchmakers” who got them together in college!

Courtney and Brennen danced the night away, celebrating the start of their marriage. And left in a beautiful exit under the Montana sky.

I can say this a million times and it won’t be enough - thank you thank you for choosing me to capture your very special day. It was such an honor!
