Olivia + Spencer | Ringling Museum in Sarasota

When Olivia and Spencer told me they wanted to do their engagement session at Ringling Museum in Sarasota, I basically did a happy dance in my living room. I LOVE THIS VENUE. It’s perfect for engagements, and weddings! And I’ve been dying to shoot here ever since my husband and I had our first Valentine’s Day date here. I also grew up visiting the museum, so it just is a favorite of mine all around!

We spent the afternoon wandering the grounds, and taking photos as we went. We had the perfect sunny day, and I was living for all the gorgeous backdrops. Take me anywhere with tall arches and walkways, and I’m in heaven.

Olivia wore a beautiful white engagement dress for their first fit, and I loved the contrast with the pinkish walls of the Ringling Museum. She looked every inch the bride, and it made me want to come back and shoot a full wedding here. Spencer wore a complimentary tan tux that just completed the whole look.

PS: can you look at that engagement ring!??! SO gorgeous. I always try to include ring shots in my galleries because I know it’s such an important piece of your love story, and every girl wants a really good photo of her ring 😍

After that, they wanted to go for more of the black, classic vibe and changed into gorgeous formal wear. I loved how they coordinated for both outfits and created a real black & white theme for their gallery. Olivia’s hair and makeup was done by Vanessa, and she knocked it out of the park. Overall, the whole day was just such a blast! We had so much fun, and couldn’t stop laughing together. Olivia and Spencer are a dream. They are from South Carolina, and they're getting married in Jamaica next year, and I can't WAIT to party with them at their Sandals Resort wedding! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE being a destination wedding photographer!?? Someone pinch me! I get to photograph all over the country. From the Arches to Jamaica beaches. I love my job. :)
