Julius + Ellen | Love & Light Studio Maternity Session

When Julius and Ellen reached out and told me they were expecting (!!!) and wanted me to shoot their Studio Maternity Session… I was thrilled. These two are so much fun, and are going to be the best parents.

We decided to shoot at Love Light Studio in Cape Coral. The space was perfect for the neutral, laid-back vibes we were going for. We wanted to capture their joy & anticipation during this big life shift.

The parents-to-be decided on light denim jeans and white tops for their look. It worked perfectly with the neutral aesthetic. Ellen wore a simple white bra and then swapped out a light white button down (open to show off the bump of course!) and a tan short sleeve wrap. That added variety and texture to their gallery, without being a whole new look! I love when we create a cohesive vibe, because now if they print any of these images to hang on the nursery wall, they will all go together. Definitely one of the perks of a studio maternity session.

Julius and Ellen were nothing but joyful and FUN this whole shoot. You can tell they already love their babe so much, and can’t wait to bring them into the world. They decided to wait to find out the gender, so they have an added level of anticipation for the big arrival day.

I love being a Florida wedding photographer, but these two made me want to shoot more maternity as well. Can all my wedding couples can get married and then have babies and hire me to take their maternity photos? Okay thanks. ;)
