Kimberly + David | Surprise Beach Proposal

Oh man, I cannot WAIT to share this surprise beach proposal with you all. Holy cow it was so much fun to shoot and be a part of!! Okay okay, backstory:

Kimberley reached out to me about scheduling a photo session for her & her boyfriend. She wanted to meet up at Fort Myers, Florida. I was excited because A) she sounded super fun and I was looking forward to shooting with them, and B) Fort Myers is one of my fav places to shoot.

So they booked their couples session, and we started planning. Then! I get a phone call from David.

He wanted to secretly plan a surprise beach proposal for during our session (!!!) Um, yes please! Always sign me up for surprise proposals! So I continue planning the session like normal with Kimberly, and she has NO clue. She isn’t suspicious at all, so I know this is going to be great.

We met up on the beach and started taking photos together. I knew David was nervous but he played it off and Kimberly continued to not suspect anything. I had them do a pose where she was facing away from him, and he quickly got down on one knee and pulled out a ring box.

When she turned around she was SO SURPRISED she couldn’t speak! The joy on her face told it all though! Editing these photos made me smile so big because she was clearly so so happy.

Everyone on the beach stopped to cheer and celebrate. Kimberly just cried and couldn’t speak. David definitely pulled off his surprise beach proposal plans perfectly.

And yeah, eventually she said yes (haha) and we continued shooting all the way through golden hour all over Fort Myers beach - but now with a giant freaking rock on her finger!! She was absolutely glowing!!
