Katie + Ben | Luminary Hotel Wedding
When Katie + Ben told me they were having a wedding at the Luminary Hotel - I knew it was going to be gorgeous. I love so many of the venues in downtown Fort Myers, but this one has increasingly become a favorite. When you scroll through this blog, I think you’ll see why!
These two lovebirds told me right from the beginning they wanted their big day to center around “FUN, FOOD, AND DANCING”. Um, yes please, I can get on board with that!! These are my kind of people! haha
And they did not disappoint. Starting in the getting ready suites with their friends and family, the joy was a palpable part of the day. Everyone was grinning from ear to ear, and it was infectious.
The bride & groom did an intimate first look outside the Luminary Hotel, and it was so sweet to see Ben’s reaction to his (almost) wife.
Afterwards, we took photos with their whole wedding party- and I loved the bright color scheme. I think colors are coming back in trend for weddings, and I’m here for it. I love the coral dresses and blue suits. Give me all the tropical vibes.
After the first look and celebratory drink at the bar, the outdoor ceremony started. Everyone lit up when Katie walked down the aisle with her parents. And Ben’s joy when they finally were declared husband and wife was SO fun to see. (Can you tell I just love these two!?)
We took some “we just got married!!!!!” newlywed photos by the beach while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. And I’m telling you - as a Florida wedding photographer, this part of the day never gets old. There is a certain glow to couples who just got married. It’s my fav.
The reception at the Luminary Hotel was one for the books. They weren’t kidding about ‘fun, food and dancing’. Everyone let loose and had a great time on the dance floor with their friends. Kids stayed up to all hours. Everyone ate a delicious dinner. And they all made my job easy because of their high energy and love for life.
I’ll never get tired of being a wedding photographer. Katie + Ben, I am so honored to have captured your big day. I hope you cherish these photos for ever!
